By Plane
The biggest and busiest airport in the Los Angeles region is the Los Angeles International Airport (tel. 310-646-5252, www.lawa.org/lax). It houses nine terminals. This gargantuan facility is located 25km southwest of the city, near the Pacific shoreline.

By Public Transportation
L.A.'s main transit operator is the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (tel.800-266-6883, www.metro.net). It includes Metro Rail (underground and elevated subways) and bus lines. Metro Rail has of six lines: Orange, Red, Purple, Blue, Green and Gold. The Metrolink (tel.800-371-5465, www.metrolinktrains.com) is the city's suburban rail network. Its terminal is located in downtown L.A.'s Union Station.
