By Plane
O'Hare International Airport (tel. 773-686-2200, www.flychicago.com) is located 27km northwest of downtown Chicago.

Visitors can also land at Midway International Airport (tel. 773-838-0600, www.chicago-mdw.com), which is located about 20min southwest of downtown.

The Go Airport Express (tel. 888-284-3826, www.airportexpress.com) minibus service and the Chicago Transit Authority (tel. 312-836-7000, www.transitchicago.com) train link both airports with the downtown area.

By Bus
Chicago's bus station is located at 630 W. Harrison Street (tel. 312-408-5800).

By Train
Chicago Union Station (210 South Canal, tel. 800-872-7245, www.amtrak.com).

Public Transportation
The Chicago Transit Authority (tel. 312-836-7000, www.transitchicago.com) is responsible for the city's public transportation system. It manages a large network of bus lines, along with an elevated train and subway, which criss-cross the city and its immediate suburbs.
