Finding your way around
A shuttle service is available at Beijing Capital International Airport (http://en.bcia.com.cn) to take visitors into the city.
The Beijing Railway Station serves the communities located east and north of the capital, while the more recent Beijing West Railway Station serves the cities located south and west of Beijing.
Beijing is also the point of departure for the Trans-Siberian train that links the city to Moscow in six days, and the Trans-Mongolian that runs to the capital of Mongolia, Ulan-Bator, in five days. Though the Chinese train stations usually feature ticket counters that cater to foreigners, purchasing a train ticket remains somewhat of a challenge for the uninitiated. We recommend that you contact the China International Travel Service (www.cits.net) to avoid any headaches.
The currency of the People's Republic of China is the yuan.
