Parks & beaches
Coronado Central Beach stretches along Ocean Boulevard. Bordered by the U.S. Army Naval Air Station North Island to the north and by the historic Hotel Del Coronado to the south, it is one of the region's most beautiful beaches. It is located right on the Pacific Ocean and is surrounded by splendid homes.
Located a few minutes from downtown San Diego by car, this large municipal park features bike paths and hiking trails. Its main attractions, however, are its 15 museums and its internationally renowned zoo.
The Cabrillo National Monument, which stands proudly on the highest point of the Point Loma Peninsula, commemorates the arrival of explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo in 1542. Along the park's various walking trails, visitors will find descriptions of the park's plants and wildlife.
