1980 was the starting point of Ulysses’ odyssey. Throughout the years, more and more travellers have discovered the world, thanks to the various specialized services Ulysses offers.

Ulysses began its adventure as a bookseller and now has two bookstores in Montréal. More than 100,000 travellers seek out and discover the quality documentation and advice of this wisest of explorers every year. Responding to the growing needs of its fellow travellers, Ulysses promptly set a course for new horizons and began importing travel guides and maps from the four corners of the globe, making its selection the best in Canada.

The import of books and maps led Ulysses into wholesale distribution, bringing its odyssey into a whole new field. Today, the company counts more than 2,000 customers throughout North America, each one charting a course for adventure, helped along by the expertise and indispensable products it makes available. Ulysses wholesale catalogue lists more than 1,000 products from 15 countries.

The young Canadian company still needed to complete one final
leg of its journey to truly make its mark in the travel guide
business. After 10 years of rubbing shoulders with travellers
and booksellers, Ulysses headed off on another adventure,
creating Ulysses Travel Guides in 1990. The last 15 years have
been dedicated to building up Ulysses’ guide collection, which now
features 83 titles in English and 106 in
French and is the pride of the company.
Ulysses’ guides are available in countries throughout the world, including Canada, the United States, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Holland, Austria, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Germany and Spain.
In this era of globalized economy, Ulysses has proven that a
young, dynamic and driven enterprise can make its place among
the most influential publishers in the world. Ulysses would like
